LNO Inc. is seeking a network engineer that has extensive tactical experience working with the Army’s PM Tactical Network (formally PM WIN-T) architecture. The candidate fulfilling these functions must be fully knowledgeable in the tactical network from a planning, implementation and troubleshooting perspective.
Requirements & Duties:
Candidates should have thorough understanding of the division’s hub node baseband and satellite equipment and understand its relationship to the greater tactical network architecture. A candidate should realistically meet 75% of the descriptors below.
The candidate must possess knowledge that is commensurate with a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification (or higher) but the certification is not a requirement for the position. The candidate network engineer should have commanding knowledge of the topics listed below or have the potential to master them in a reasonable timeframe.
o Load routers/switches IOS (CCNA R&S)
o Load configurations on router/switches (CCNA R&S)
o Configure, troubleshoot, and understand Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) (CCNP R&S)
o Configure, troubleshoot, and understand Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) (CCNP R&S)
o Configure, troubleshoot, and understand Dynamic Multipoint Virtual Private Network (DMVPN) (CCIE R&S)
o Configure, troubleshoot, and understand Multicast (CCIE R&S)
o Configure, troubleshoot, and understand switching technologies (CCNP R&S)
o Configure, troubleshoot, and understand Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) (CCNP SP)
o Hands-on experience with Palo Alto products such as PA-VM and PM-VM series
o Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere (6.0/6.7), KVM and Hyper-V
o Hands-on experience with Windows Server 2012R2, Windows 7/10, REL 6/7
o Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory and supporting technologies
o Basic understanding of Virtual Network Functions (VNF) concepts
o Configure, troubleshoot and understand the Linkway modem operations
o Configure, troubleshoot and understand the Raydne FDMA modem operations
o Configure, troubleshoot and understand the NCW modem operations
- Bachelors Degree or a combination of education and experience directly related to the duties being performed.
